Eric Norstad Mid-Century Painted Slab Pottery Platter, Signed

Mid-Century hand-painted slab pottery tray by California artist Eric Norstad (1924-2013). Norstad received a degree in architecture from the University of Oregon and was a student of Victoria Avakian Ross. He is best known for his functional wares which were produced from his Corte Madera, California studio, and exhibited at the Syracuse Nationals in 1954, 1962, 1964 and 1966.

The platter features an abstract design and is signed on the underside. In excellent condition.
