Framed Shepard Fairey "We the People: Are Greater than Fear" Print
The day before the inauguration of President Donald Trump on January 20, 2017, Shepard Fairey released a series of posters called “We the People” that featured Muslim, Latina, and African American women. The prints were intended to uplift those whose “needs would be neglected in a Trump administration,” noted Fairey. Borrowing their titles from the U.S. Constitution and their color schemes from the nation’s flag, these posters were intended to be used in peaceful protests at the time, especially the historic 2017 Women’s March. Fairey released “We the People” to the public by making the images temporarily available to download for free, but also created collectible limited edition versions of the prints, of which this is one.
The print is archivally matted and framed, and is in excellent condition. Some wear to corners of frame.
